Five days of Two-hour Delay
for Highland Local Schools Please mark your calendar for the five days of scheduled two
hour delays. These delays have replaced our previous allowed waiver days for
staff training. -> Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, Jan. 18 and Feb. 15. <-
Staff will report at the normal time, high school students will report two
hours later.
Juniors and Seniors may want to attend... On Tuesday, October 25th there will be a Junior class meeting with Ms. Staiger and Kathy Goodman from the I CAN Center of Excellence at 9:30 a.m. This will be focused on ACT information, Post Secondary Educational Goals, and Future Planning.
Seniors will have the opportunity to get further assistance during their
lunch times from the I CAN program that day as well.

PSAT (Pre SAT College Entrance Test) for top 45 Juniors - Oct. 12th in the morning.
PLAN (Pre ACT College Entrance Test) given on Oct. 20th to ALL Sophomores in
the morning.
OGT's for Upper Classmen - The Week of Oct. 24th
Senior Class meeting - Oct. 27th at 7:20 a.m.
ASVAB Test(Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) given to ALL juniors
on Nov. 1st in the morning.
Senior Graduation Cap/Gown and Announcement Orders due Nov. 8th. Josten's
representative will be at HHS during lunch.
Parent-Teacher
Conferences Parent-Teacher Conferences for the high school will be Thursday,
October 27th. Times 2:30 - 8:30 P.M. Please call the school @ 419-768-3101 if
you would like to schedule a conference with one of your student's teachers.

High School Offering Family Movie Nights
We would like to invite you to the new high school and provide for you simple,
inexpensive family entertainment by offering the new Highland Family Movie
Nights. Each month the Introduction to Theater class will sponsor an evening at
the movies for Highland students and staff, their families, and our local
community. Come to our auditorium and enjoy the large screen, surround sound
experience that you have when you attend a movie theater. Donations will be
appreciated as all proceeds will help enhance our ability to provide quality
cultural experiences new to the Highland community. Snacks and drinks will be
sold at the concession stand. Put the following dates on your calendar and
bring the whole family. All movies (but one) will begin at 7:00 p.m. Hope to
see you and your family. Any questions, contact Mr. Bell at the high school.

November 19th - 101 Dalmatians,
December 18th - The Polar Express - 2:00 p.m.

Tri-Rivers Presentation to Sophomores
On Wed. Nov. 9, a counselor from Tri-Rivers Career Center will provide program
information to sophomores during English classes. On that day, sophomores will
also receive permission slips for "Exploring Careers Day" at Tri-Rivers. This
trip will take place on Tues. Dec. 6.
